Alleged rape in Schumacher home

A rape case linked to Michael Schumacher’s home in Gland in canton Vaud is making headlines, though the family is not involved.

An Australian racing driver, a friend of Mick Schumacher, is accused of sexually assaulting a nurse in late 2019 while staying at the property.

The victim, who had lost consciousness after a drunken evening, filed a complaint two years later.

The defendant admits to sexual contact but claims it was consensual.

His trial was due to start today in Nyon, but may be postponed, he’s been unreachable for months.

Both legal teams and the Schumacher family have declined to comment.
