Starters: Spicy French Toast

Spicy French Toast


  • 0.25 tsp. salt
  • 1 eggs
  • a little pepper
  • 2 tbsp. crème fraîche
  • 1 onion
  • 1 dl milk
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp. chives
  • 150 g vegetarian mince
  • 4 slices brown bread (ca. 150 g)
  • 1.5 tbsp. clarified butter

Pre-heat the oven to 60°C. Combine the milk, egg and salt and coat the slices of bread in the mixture. Heat 1 tbsp of clarified butter in a non-stick frying pan, reduce the heat, fry the slices of bread on both sides until golden brown, keep warm.

Finely chop the onion, dice the tomatoes and finely chop the chives. Heat 1 ?2 tbsp of clarified butter, fry the Délicorn mince for approx. 3 mins., season.

Add the onion, tomatoes and chives, simmer over a medium heat for approx. 6 mins., divide onto the French toasts, garnish with crème fraîche.
