Chicken and Potato Tray Bake


  • a little pepper
  • 100 g diced bacon
  • 0.75 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • a little nutmeg
  • 1 dl apple juice
  • 1 tbsp. thyme leaves
  • 400 g frozen peeled chestnuts, slightly defrosted
  • 2 red-skinned apple
  • 1 chicken (ca. 1,1 kg)
  • 400 g waxy potatoes

Slice the chicken into 8 pieces, cut the potatoes into slices, combine in a bowl with the chestnuts, bacon, apple juice, thyme, oil and spices and spread out on an oven tray lined with baking paper.

Oven bake for approx. 20 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 220°C. Meanwhile, slice the apples, arrange on the oven tray and finish baking for approx. 20 mins.
