Karma Vegetable Balls in Pitta Pockets


  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 200 g sour single cream
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 pack vegetarian vegetable balls (200 g)
  • 4 pita bread
  • 5 tbsp. ketchup
  • 0.5 tsp. chilli powder
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into small cubes
  • 100 g iceberg lettuce, cut into strips

Heat the oil in a frying pan, brown the vegetable balls for approx. 3 mins. and remove. Toast the pita breads in the same pan on both sides for approx. 1 min. each side, then slice in half lengthways. Mix together the sour half cream, ketchup, mayonnaise, lemon juice, chilli powder, salt and pepper. Divide the salad, tomatoes and vegetable balls into the pita breads and serve.
