- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 0.5 bunch basil
- 4 tbsp. red tapenade
- 4 pitta bread or similar (z.B. Pitta)
- 4 tbsp. grated Parmesan
- 150 g ham slices
- a little coarse sea salt
Cut the pitta bread slices crossways, coat the insides with tomato paste. Add the parmesan, basil leaves and ham to make the sandwich fillings. Coat both sides of the sandwiches (i.e. the pitta bread) with oil.
Grill the pitta sandwiches for approx. 3 mins. on each side over a medium heat (approx. 200°C).
Remove the pitta sandwiches from the grill, cut them into quarters, sprinkle with salt.
