Bruschetta

Ingredients

  • a little pepper
  • 0.5 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 clove of garlic
  • 300 g tomatoes (e.g. ribbed tomatoes)
  • 0.5 bunch basil
  • 1.5 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 0.5 baguettes (ca. 200 g)
  • basil leaves, to garnish

Instructions

Dice the tomatoes, chop the onions, and tear the basil into small pieces. Mix with the aceto, season, and let stand approx. 30 minutes.

Cut the baguette diagonally into approx. 1 cm slices, place the slices on a baking tray, and toast for approx. 5 minutes in the upper third of an oven preheated to 220°C.

Halve the garlic cloves, rub them across the slices of bread, then drizzle olive oil on them. Distribute the tomatoes on the slices of bread, garnish with basil, and serve immediately.
