Murderer may already be in prison
The perpetrator of an unsolved murder from over 20 years ago may already be in a Bern prison.

In 1997 86-year-old Ella Christen was beaten to death in her own apartment in Küsnacht in canton Zurich. No one was ever arrested.
Two years ago, a 77-year-old Italian man found himself in court in Bern facing charges of robbing a jewelry store in Thun. He was sentenced to 7 years in jail.
During the robbery investigations a DNA sample was taken and Zurich police was able to match it from the murder scene over 20 years ago.
Zurich prosecutors have now charged the man with the murder.
