Warning of permanent cinema closures
The Swiss Film Association is warning many cinemas in cantons Bern and Valais could close for good after local rules forced them to shut.

The association says not a single case of infection has been reported from a cinema – including at film festivals in Zurich and Biel.
They’re demanding more financial assistance for those businesses that are being particularly badly hit – especially the cultural and hospitality sectors.
They also say the differences in local rules is making the situation even more complicated.
