Bus gets stuck on farm
Lausanne commuters suffered a double problem trying to get into work on Monday after a derailment stopped the Lausanne-Echallens-Bercher railway.
Transport authorities immediately called in a bus replacement service, but the drivers didn’t know the area and got lost on the small roads – and even one bus took a wrong turning and ended up on a farm.
Passengers say the small roads in the region are unsuitable for long articulated buses. The one that ended up on a farm took an hour to turn-around.
The owner of the bus company apologized, but says mistakes happen – it’s only human.
