Vegan shop closed after owner refuses mask laws
Police in Winterthur have closed a vegan shop as the owner refused to wear a mask – and declined to enforce the measures with her customers.
Monika Akeret says wearing a mask is ‘disproportionate nonsense’.
She also says she’s been vegan for years for health reasons and doesn’t want to breathe in her own CO2 and slow down the function of her lungs.
Police ordered the closure until at least October 3rd. The owner can then open again if sufficient protection is put in place and she agrees to follow the rules.
