Street racers face jail and deportation
Two young street racers are facing serious jail time as their case comes before court.
Two years ago, an Audi driver and a motorcyclist raced down a street in Würenlingen in canton Aargau. The biker crashed into an oncoming car and lost his lower leg.
Prosecutors are calling for a 6-and-a-half-year prison sentence for the Audi driver – who already has a speeding conviction and then two years for the biker – followed by deportation, as he’s Portuguese.
The innocent driver suffered only minor injuries.
The trial continues.
