Man convicted of stealing cash from mail at Zurich airport
A man has been fined and paroled after he was convicted of stealing cash from letters and parcels at Zurich airport.
The 42-year-old worked in security, x-raying post to make sure the mail was safe to fly.
The court heard he used his position to open mail and steal the cash.
Over a period of several years he pocketed over CHF 100,000.
But he didn’t spend any of the money. The cash was found in his home.
The victims have five years to make a claim – otherwise it will go to the state.
