Cross-border workers relieved to continue working from home in France
Border workers are relieved France says they can continue to work from home without the fear of having to pay French social security charges until the end of the year.
At the start of lockdown the laws were eased to allow homeworking from France.
The legal suspension was due to end next month – but will now stay until December 31st.
The rules have been confirmed by the Federal Social Insurance Office. It says it’s in compliance with a broad EU recommendation.
Any cross-border worker who’s a Swiss or European national will benefit from the relaxation.
