Salève cable car traps passengers for over an hour
Passengers on the cable car which takes sightseers up to the top of the Salève mountain near Geneva were trapped for more than an hour after an electrical problem stopped two cabins mid-way through their journey on Saturday afternoon.
Both were frozen at what was described as a ‘substantial height’.
Witnesses posting on Facebook say the occupants looked unwell.
The cable car restarted its operations yesterday after a series of tests.
