Monika Schmutz was working in her office at the Swiss Embassy when the blast hit and - she says - “literally hurled her across the room”.
She was taken to hospital with slight injuries, but was able to return to work yesterday.
The Embassy buildings and residence are only 600 metres from the source of the explosion and were badly damaged.
The team are now working from an undisclosed location to keep close contact with the 1,500 Swiss citizens living in the country.
All 20 Swiss tourists in Lebanon at the time of the blast have been accounted for.
