Covid-19 outbreak at children's summer camp in Graubünden
There’s been several infections at a children’s summer camp in Graubünden.
At least seven children are confirmed to have Covid-19 – several others are listed as having suspicious symptoms.
The camp caters for children aged between 9 and 13.
In total 196 are now quarantined, 14 in isolation and 2 have been admitted to hospital.
The camp was held last week around the Chur region.
Cantonal officials say they were able to track down those who had been to the camps and who they’d been in contact with quickly as the camp organizers had complete records of the attendees.
In the meantime, the Federal Health Office says there’s been 117 new infections in the past 24 hours, down from 141 the day before. Also, one person has died – bringing the total of deaths to 1,694.
The numbers mean there’s been 653 new infections over the past week.
