Right-wing former leader uses N-word on TV over chocolate debate
Former federal councilor and leader of the right-wing Swiss People’s Party, Christoph Blocher, is under fire for using the N-word in a TV interview.
Blocher was being asked about the debate over a traditional chocolate snack, named ‘Mohrenkopf’ or moorhead.
Migros says it will stop stocking the item as its deemed racist.
Meanwhile a man who dressed up in black-face to sell the chocolates in canton Sankt Gallen last month, in protest at the sales ban, has been questioned by police.
58-year-old Markus Heim caused outrage with his stunt. Officials in the town of Rorschach said it was a stupid joke, which wasn't appreciated.
