TCS calls for removal of new cycle lanes as traffic stabilises
The Geneva unit of the motoring organization, the TCS, is calling for the removal of some of the new cycle lanes in the city as they claim they’re causing major traffic disruption as the lockdown eases.
The canton’s hopes the new normal will mean more people cycling to work. But the TCS says its own study shows generally stable cycling traffic – except the Boulevard Georges-Favon where there are more bikes.
The TCS says it will keep the situation under review and continue to make recommendations as needed.
