Cost of toilet paper falls as demand drops
The cost of toilet paper is dropping.
At the beginning of the pandemic, toilet paper was bulk bought in panic buying sprees. At the time some supermarkets had to limit the amount that could be bought at the same time.
But now, the rush is over and many households have a supply big enough to last them for months – so demand has dropped – down by a third in May.
This is leading to discounting. Coop is cutting toilet roll prices by 40%.
So now is the time to stock up.
