EPFL study shows lockdown positively affected coronavirus transmission
The Swiss lockdown has had a positive effect on the transmission of the coronavirus. That’s according to a study by the EPFL in Lausanne.
The paper also found infections were already dropping in early March, before the full lockdown measures took effect.
But the majority of the transmission cut was down to people changing their behaviour – and not natural immunity.
The authors support a gradual relaxation of restrictions which started a month ago.
