Taxi driver fined for extortion over customer's lost phone
A taxi driver has been fined for extortion after he demanded CHF 100 to return a lost mobile phone.

Back in February a customer left his phone in the cab after returning home from Fasnacht in the Linth region in canton Glarus.
The taxi driver called the forgetful passenger the next day and demanded CHF 100 or he would throw the phone away.
The man offered CHF 50 as a finder’s fee – but the driver refused – so he filed a complaint.
A court issued a suspended CHF 1,000 fine for extortion.
