Geneva bar owners investigated for reopening too early
A pair of Geneva bar owners are being questioned after they opened too early.
They were not short of customers on Friday evening as passersby called the police when they saw people inside having a drink.
The bar on the Boulevard Helvétique in the middle of the city was closed down immediately. The owners are being investigated.
There still remains some confusion as to what will be allowed from Monday. The Federal Council says restaurants can open – but the head of the GastoVaud association says canton Vaud has 14 different licenses for eating and drinking establishments – and it's not sure what is allowed to open next week and what isn’t.
