The roads are particularly quiet at weekends - with half the amount of traffic out and about last Saturday and Sunday than usual.

Public transport companies have continued to reduce their timetables - including the Swiss federal railways and PostBus.

From Saturday the TGV will no longer run between Switzerland and Paris - stopping the last two routes from Geneva and Basel.

The amount we use the postal service has decreased by up to 40% since the coronavirus crisis began.

However the parcel service from Swiss Post has seen a 15% increase - as people have turned to online shopping.
