One month since first Covid-19 case in Switzerland
Today marks one month since the first coronavirus case was diagnosed in Switzerland.
Now that figure stands at almost 9,000 confirmed cases of the virus - and 86 people have died.
The cantonal doctor in Ticino - Giorgio Merlani - says he’s noticed a slight slowdown in the spread of the virus.
He’s attributed the change to restrictions in public life.
Though the seasonality of the virus is not yet known, some experts predict a second wave of infection could hit us during the autumn.
