It’s after authorities in the French region of Alsace put out a distress call for help - the area has been hit hard by virus, apparently spreading through the congregation of a large church service in late February.
Patients are to be transferred to two hospitals in Basel and one in Jura.
It comes amid concern that Swiss hospitals could soon be stretched to the limit by an influx of patients as numbers continue to rise.
Tens of thousands of French nurses work in Switzerland’s hospitals and healthcare services.
Hospitals in Germany are also providing help.
