A student managed to get an intercity train to make an unscheduled stop so she wouldn’t miss her exam.

25-year-old Jasmin Steiner was already nervous ahead of finals at the University of Applied Science last week. She needed to get a train from Bern which stopped in Olten – but got the direct express to Zurich. She only realized her mistake when the train didn’t slow down when approaching her stop.

She asked the conductor what she could do – he messaged the driver and the train stopped at Aarau. There she could change and get back to Olten in time.

She has nothing but praise for the train staff and thanks them profusely.
