Zurich court rejects VW car owners' damages claim
A Zurich court has rejected a claim from owners of Volkswagen cars that they have lost money since the emissions scandal.
The car owners’ group were seeking damages from VW and the Swiss importer Amag. They claim their cars have lost resale value since the revelation the German car maker was faking pollution tests.
The court ruled the consumer group didn’t have the correct legal status to pursue a claim.
The group is representing around 6,000 car owners. It says it may appeal to the Federal Court.
