Man caught speeding drives car into camera
A man caught speeding by a camera in Winterthur only made a bad situation worse.
The 29-year-old was flashed driving at 100 kph in a 40-zone last Friday. He stopped immediately, turned around and drove back to the camera and rammed it with his BMW.
The camera crashed to the ground.
Police tracked down the man using the camera’s last image.
The driver is also suspected of being drunk at the time.
He not only faces a speeding fine and a ban – it’s likely he will also have to pay for the damaged camera – estimated at CHF 150,000.
