The government says Switzerland should be carbon neutral by the year 2050.

Under the Paris climate agreement, the country is committed to cutting its greenhouse gasses.

This country is being hit hard by climate change with increased flooding, disappearing glaciers and thawing permafrost causing rockfalls.

The Federal Council says CO2 emissions can be cut using renewable energy and current technology.
