EasyJet pilot stood down for speaking of killing himself
EasyJet has stood down a Geneva pilot who sent a WhatsApp message saying he was depressed and thinking of killing himself.

One of the recipients was so concerned, they reported it to the airline. They were worried of a repeat of the Germanwings tragedy in 2015 when a mentally ill pilot, Andreas Lubitz, deliberately crashed his plane in the French Alps killing 150 people.
In a statement, EasyJet has said "We can confirm that the pilot was stood down from flying a number of days ago, in line with our procedures, while we investigate. We have offered support in the meantime." The airline stresses safety is its top priority.
