Weekend traffic warning as ski season begins
The ski season kicks off properly this weekend – and the Federal Roads Office is warning of heavy weekend traffic from now until March.

The busiest routes are expected to be around the Bernese Oberland, in Graubünden and heading to Valais.
Also, there will be long lines at the car transporter train stations, such as Furka and Lötschberg tunnels.
But the traffic won’t be as busy as over the summer. The roads office says during the winter it’s more dispersed as people head into the mountains – but in the summer everyone’s on the north south route.
