Uber drivers have to be treated as employees - report
Uber drivers in Switzerland have to be treated as if they were employees and not self-employed. That’s a decision by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs.

A report has been seen by Swiss television which gives the legal opinion. The decision follows after action by Uber drivers in cantons Geneva and Vaud.
Drivers say they’re being underpaid – sometimes as little as 10 francs an hour.
The decision is not legally binding, but cantons normally follow the advice by the secretariat.
