Zurich silo could be climbing wall
The tallest building in Zurich could be turned into an inner-city climbing wall. The Swiss Mill Tower is a 118 meter high grain silo. It was built last year and many people in the city consider it an eyesore.
But maybe it could be put to an additional use. A group of architects say a climbing wall would be perfect.
Although there are climbing walls in other cities – notably Vienna in Austria and Reno in Nevada – the Zurich one could be the tallest in the world.
However, Switzerland already has the longest climbing route in the world – but that’s on a dam in Ticino.
