Undercover police check on Zurich taxis
Zurich city police have been clamping down on taxi drivers following a series of complaints.

The main moan from locals is the drivers are unwilling to take fares for short distances. Zurich regulations say taxi drivers do have to take customers on small trips.
Undercover Zurich police officers posed as passengers and asked to be taken a small way – a couple of drivers refused and have been reported. Also, one was found to have disconnected his tachograph monitoring his driving time.
