Number of police injuries rise in Geneva

Local News // Sept. 13, 2016
Number of police injuries rise in Geneva

The number of injured police officers in Geneva has tripled over the last three years.

In 2012 that figure was 30 per year in and 85 last year, according to 20 Minutes.

Injuries are mainly fractures to hands and fingers caused during arresting criminals.

Geneva police can't explain the rise, but say they are not alarmed by the findings, as it's a small amount based on the number of arrests they've made.
