Drunk man almost hit by own speedboat after falling into Lake Zurich

A drunk man managed to avoid being hit by his own speedboat when he fell into Lake Zurich on Sunday.

According to 20 Minutes, the 56-year-old, who was off the shore of Bäch, had to dive under several times as the boat spun out of control.

A member of the Lake Zurich police, who happened to be passing by, managed to stop the boat by jumping off his own vessel and taking control of the helm.

A video taken by a witness and published by Blick shows the heroic officer:

A blood alcohol test proved the man was over the limit of 0.5mg/ml and his boating license was withdrawn immediately.
