Thursday, 30 October 2025 - 6 minutes

The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 by John Bishop is a wildly entertaining farce that mixes quick wit, mystery, and theatrical mayhem. Set in a snowbound mansion, a group of actors and producers gathers for a backers’ audition - but soon find themselves trapped with a cunning killer on the loose.

Founded in 1975, The Semi-Circle Basel is an English-language community theatre group dedicated to bringing high-quality productions to audiences in the Basel region. The group’s diverse members, drawn from across the international community, share a passion for storytelling, creativity, and collaboration.

Performances run November 6–9 at The Scala Basel, with evening and matinee shows. WRS Breakfast Show's Katt Cullen speaks with co-director Ian Wicks and actor John Salusbury (Patrick O’Reilly) about the production, its delightful chaos, and why audiences won’t want to miss this killer night at the theatre.
