A new NGO is looking to set up in Geneva. It uses former military personnel to hunt down potential human traffickers and those seeking to exploit vulnerable children – with considerable success.
Operation Blue Shield is the currently running in Ukraine. It’s been set up by the crisis response company Mitmark, based in London, which provides threat mitigation services to international clients.
The operation in Ukraine is running as a non-profit organization – and the head of Mitmark wants to establish it in Geneva, working in the world’s trouble spots and providing support for other NGOs in the field.
The new NGO will be called the '34th Parallel'.
Mark Butcher spoke to Richard Roberts, Chief Executive of Mitmark about the work of Operation Blue Shield in Ukraine and why the new NGO will be called the '34th Parallel'.
