For more than a century, the Swiss National Library has had a statutory mandate for collecting Swiss publications so that they can be available to be read and studied by future generations. But what happens to electronic information? For some time now the National Library, together with Swiss cantonal and special libraries, has begun to electronically document websites over the years and decades.

E-Helvetica Web Archives harvests snapshots of Switzerland's important websites in order to preserve them and make them available in the future. They even feature archives for the WRS website.
