Dark Waters, Freaky, The Year Earth Changed

Big Screen, Little Screen

Monday, 7 June 2021 - 9 minutes

Based on the 2016 New York Times article called “the Lawyer Who Became DuPont’s Worst Nightmare” by Nathanial Rich, Dark Waters (Sky Show) is a legal thriller dramatising Robert Billots' case against the chemical manufacturing corporation DuPont after they contaminated a town with unregulated chemicals. Freaky (cinema release) is a twist on the classic Disney film Freaky Friday. In this film teenager Millie accidentally swaps bodies with a middle aged serial killer, the "Blissfield Butcher", played by Vince Vaughn. We also look at The Year Earth Changed (Apple TV): Narrated by David Attenborough we see the world in 2020 as it goes through a massive change, and learn about the uplifting side of the lockdown and the positive effects on the natural world.
