What's on at the UN? Luminarium for Girls Education

High Commissioner for the Human Rights Council Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein delivered a hard-hitting speech this morning. Rheal leBlanc explains what he said at the opening of this Human Rights Council.

Today and tomorrow, the united nations special envoy for Syria will be meeting with senior officials from Iran, Russia and Turkey in Geneva to discuss how to move forward with a constitutional commission for Syria.

The UK mission will inaugurate a unique exhibition in the Ariana Park of a huge structure called the Luminarium. It will be dedicated to promoting the importance of girls’ education and stay in Geneva for 2 days only, starting today.
