In this week's roundup, Daniel talks about the expert meeting taking place on Lethal Autonomous Weapons (LAWS). These are so-called “Killer Robots”, in the media and can include drones. There are UN facilitated discussions to push for cooperation on this fast-evolving threat to peace and security.

We have a recap on the commemorations that took place this past weekend at the UN for the genocide in Rwanda, including comments by UN Special Envoy Adama Dieng, UN Secretary-General's Special Adviser for the Prevention of Genocide.

There are still tickets left for the UN/UEFA football Match for Solidarity on Saturday 21 April 2018 at Stade de Genève, featuring Luis Figo and Ronaldinho, Didier Deschamps, Pierluigi Collina, among others.

Lastly this week, Daniel tells us about a public event at the UN on Victims of torture. This event will be held 11:30 - 13:00 on Wednesday 11 April. Speakers include Ms. Estela de Carlotto, Co-founder and President of Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo in Argentina. Estela's pregnant daughter disappeared in the 1970s. She found her grandson, who was born in captivity, in 2014. More information on the event and Estela's biography can be found here
