Volunteers needed to clean Lake Geneva!
Have you ever wondered around Lake Geneva and thought to yourself "Hey! There's still way too much litter around"? Well this Sunday you could really help!
Since 1992 the Aqua Diving Association in Geneva runs a clean-up on the third Sunday of every September. Scuba divers take to the lake to clean the watery depths and they need your help on shore! Full equipment (yes! gloves included!) will be provided. Just register in advance on their website and head along to help.
Patty Moll is the manager of a dive shop in Vesnaz called Scuba Dream and President of the Association Aqua Diving. Here's Patty and everything you need to know about the clean-up and discussing some of the weird things they've pulled from the lake in the past.
Register here: www.aqua-diving.ch
Patty also encourages you to head over to Bains de Paquis at 5pm to see the heaps of tyres, shopping trolleys and the more weird and wonderful objects they've pulled from the lake.
WHEN: Sunday 18th September
