UN Roundup - Syria Constitutional talks and safety of journalists
31 Aug 2020.
1 - The third round of Syria Constitutional talks at UN Geneva concluded this weekend. We ask what progress was made? What was the cost of the Covid Interruption at the start of the talks and will they meet again?

We are, you know, in all my briefings to the Security Council, this is one of the key issues I am addressing, and appealing for the parties to make sure that we develop this calm into what we have called in line with Security Council Resolution 2254, a nationwide ceasefire.” Geir Pedersen, UN Special Envoy for Syria.
