As the Brexit negotiations stumble on – the enigma of how to deal with the Northern Irish border is still nowhere near settled. Those who say Brexit is a good idea say the problem simply lacks political will – while others say it will be impossible not to have a border if the UK leaves the Single Market and the Customs Unions.

But Tom Elliot, International Investment Strategist for DeVere – using the example of hormone infused beef and lawn mowers – explains to Mark Butcher how a border is inescapable if the UK heads for a hard Brexit.
