Ten thousand line up to watch boat parade
Ten thousand spectators lined the lake side at Morges yesterday to watch the annual parade of the passenger ships run by the CGN.
The fleet, known as the Belle Epoque, perform a complex dance on the lake to the delight of the crowds.
On the shore, spectators could buy souvenirs. The proceeds will be used to renovate the Valais boat.
Organisers say they were worried the weather would be a dampener on the event, but in the end the rain held off to the end of the day and more than a thousand tickets were sold for a chance to be on one of the boats on the morning.
