Downhill skiing, snowboarding, world-class cross-country trails and some of the prettiest snow-shoeing in the region, all with incredible views of the Mont Blanc, the Salève and the Geneva lakeshore.

Benjamin Becker Monts Jura

In fact Monts Jura is a winter wonderland for families that could not be closer!

While the Monts Jura villages of La Faucille and Crozet are well-known for easy access to a range of ski options – plus ample parking - it’s the amazing backdrop of the Mont Blanc and surrounding peaks that creates a real head-turning moment. Family days out at Crozet are memorable, at every level of skill and experience. In fact the Crozet-Lélex ski area offers 30km of pistes, with 15 lifts and two fast cable cars. Alternatively, la Faucille means fun sledging and beginner slopes, giving non-skiers great choices for snowshoeing or simply relaxing on a sunny terrace. It’s also just a short drive to La Vattay, one of France’s leading cross-country centres. Discover 120km of well-marked trails glistening and gleaming through the trees in the winter sun - it’s a surprising and tranquil world! Equipment hire and cross-country guiding and/or lessons available.

The picturesque Jura villages of Lélex and Mijoux are also Monts Jura resorts offering family-friendly winter sports. For example, did you know that Lélex is at the heart of the protected Natural Regional Park of the Haut Jura? Pistes and tracks here are safe and well-groomed, with convenient cafés and restaurants just when you need them! Check out the fast Valmijoux chairlift and a host of accommodation in both Lélex and Mijoux – stress-free options for a weekend break.

Check Monts Jura for attractive early-bird deals on season passes. Plus: speed up your ski day by purchasing day passes online.
