Mid Morning Mix// The Breakfast Show // Community// Events// Family// Snow// Explore Switzerland// Food & Drink// Sport // By WRS // Jan. 15, 2019

The WRS team had a great outing to Anzère, experiencing all that the resort has to offer - for thrill seekers and spa lovers alike - Anzère had it all. With a huge car-free village square, it's great for kids and families. It's also just great to escape the city!

Throughout the Breakfast Show & Mid Morning Mix, we met the people that make your stay in Anzère so unforgettable.

anzere.ch Life in Anzère

Sébastien Travelletti is chairman of the board for Télé-Anzère. He tells us more about life in Anzère and how he takes advantage of those rare moments off in the height of ski-season.

Ski Patroller & Piste Safety Head, Emil Morard is on the slopes to minimize avalanche risk, which can often involve creating small controlled explosions to clear the pistes before skiiers head up the mountain. He'll also be responding to safety alerts throughout the day. We find out more...

We spoke to Damian Indermitte, Director of Anzère Tourism, about life and work in Anzère.

Yes, the tourism board can help you for your getaway trip in Anzère! But have you ever thought about going one step further and working up here and skiing on your lunch break? Damian explains some of the great perks involved when you bring your business to Anzère and some of the work spaces that are available. Also, bring the family. It's a family resort, after all!

We spoke to Marc Fox from the Ecole Suisse de Ski and Simon Smith from Glycérine Sport - two ski schools in Anzère.

Marc is Canadian-Swiss and Simon hails from the UK. Neither of them grew up in Anzère, so why did they choose to teach and settle down here?

Simon tells us all about the latest air-boarding craze and also why it's such a good activity for a corporate event.

Prosess Concept is an outdoor fun park in Anzère that provides entertainment off the slopes. One of the key features is a giant air mattress so you can practice those backflips and land safely! One of the most exciting things about this is that it's totally free if you're spending just one night in a hotel in Anzère as part of the Magic Pass package.

Look out for it in Summer too!

We spoke to Steven Hager, Director of Prosess Concept, to find out more...

Piste-bashing or snow-grooming seems like a lonely job, so Jérémie Jean, the piste-basher, is pretty happy to have some company one evening as he sets to work on one of the highest pistes at Anzère. Katt Cullen joined Jérémie in his snowcat as he starts his shift at 4pm; hurtling down steep slopes and prepping the snow for skiers the following day.

Mathieu Blanc, from Crazy Corner sports shop, explains what the shopping scene is like in Anzère and offers some top tips on where to buy or rent your equipment when you come.

And yes, it's open on Sunday.

After moving the studio to the spa, we spoke to Pedro da Silva Lavrincha, masseur at Anzère Spa & Wellness Centre. We speak about certain treatments, facilities and even swimming lessons that are possible in the pool!

Then the Mid Morning Mix team were joined by Catherine Travelletti of Holy Mountain yoga studio, who tells us that YES! you can do yoga in the snow and why it's particularly good both before and after hitting the slopes.

Need to keep the younger kids entertained? Perhaps Aurelie Morard-Savioz from Lollipop Nursery can help here. She set up the a crèche service in Anzère to give parents the opportunity to keep the kids entertained for a few hours or a full day - so they can hit the slopes, spa or restaurant whilst knowing that the kids are being well taken care of.

Justine Luçon from Anzère Tourism takes us through some of her favourite events in Anzère. There are weekly events, free events and her personal favourite event will certainly appeal to all lovers of fine-dining!

Staying on the subject of food Vincent Guillaume comes from a family of restaurant owners. He's worked in several throughout Anzère himself and is here to tell us what there is on offer. Whether you've worked up the appetite for some heavy cheese eating, want a gourmet burger, or traditional French cuisine, you're spoilt for choice.

Overall it was a great stay in Anzère! Book your trip NOW and stay tuned to WRS over the coming weeks for more ski passes and spa & wellness vouchers that we have up for grabs.

Thanks to the Pas de Maimbré restaurant (2'363m) and the Spa & Wellness Centre for hosting us throughout the morning.
