Learn More: Bilingual Education
Living, as we do, in a multilingual environment it's important that schools make sure today’s students are as comfortable in different languages.
The Institute International de Lancy in Geneva has always placed a strong emphasis on languages, running sections for those students with French mother tongue – with a strong English emphasis – or the other way round.
This year, they’ve taken that to another level with a completely bi-lingual sectioned designed for those with a strong knowledge of both.
Amélie Rochais, primary languages coordinator at the IIL, spoke to WRS' Mark Butcher about how a new bilingual section could be seen as a natural extension towards the school's language programme.
