Joyful Change - with UNAIDS, Rudra Béjart Ballet & Princess Tessy of Luxembourg

Mid Morning Mix // Entertainment// Art & Culture // May 12, 2017

UPDATE (Tue 16 May): Unfortunately this event was cancelled.

In an email to sponsors and supporters, Princess Tessy explained that they hadn't sold the number of tickets necessary for the one-off event and added "other events on the same evening were also a main reason for the cancellation."

Princess Tessy urged supporters to be proud of their work towards the event and invited anyone that is passionate about raising awareness for women globally to contact Princess Tessy if they believe she can help with inspiring projects worldwide.

JOYFUL CHANGE aims to raise awareness and resources for small, grassroots organisations, dedicated to empowering girls and women through education and access to rights and health services.

This fundraising event will take place in Geneva at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices on Saturday 20th May. The main part of the event will be a spectacular show from the dancers of the Rudra Béjart School of Dance. After the show the fundraising continues with a cocktail reception and a charity auction.

Michel Gascard, Director of the Rudra Béjart School of Dance explains what we can expect on stage on the Mid Morning Mix.

Tessy Anthony, also known as Princess Tessy of Luxembourg, explains to us her role as UNAIDS Global Advocate for Adolescent Girls and Young Women. She took some time to talk to WRS about the importance of such events.

Tickets cost between 40 and 80 CHF for adults. VIP tickets are also available at 250 CHF including cocktails and the auction afterwards. Tickets for children start at 20CHF.

Proceeds are going to 5 country based organisations, including the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust and Dignity Dreams, both based in South Africa, which is where Princess Tessy first became particularly passionate about this cause.
